According to CodeFutures CEO Cory Isaacson, using cloud backup for disaster recovery is a smart way to do business for any enterprise. He called it a "good early move" in making a move over to the cloud.
Isaacson said disaster recovery is something that should help improve the amount of trust businesses have in the cloud, as he said many other reliability and performance issues still need to be worked on before the cloud sees larger growth.
Even so, he said that most people are already in the cloud without even knowing it, and taking further steps in, such as cloud backup and disaster recovery, are not too far fetched. He said the cloud model offers scalability and reliability for businesses that many would not have otherwise.
According to the Cloudtweaks blog, keeping business data safe is extremely important, as very few businesses could survive a disaster without a comprehensive data backup strategy in place. The website said there is a noticeable shift over to cloud backup, but IT departments need to keep up, as it gets very complicated. |
